D Magazine has issued its annual list of the Best Lawyers in Dallas, and we couldn’t be prouder to see name partners Dawn Estes, Abby Ewing and Carol Payne highlighted among the best of North Texas’ legal community yet again. 

The listing recognizes the very best of the North Texas legal community, a fitting description for this formidable trio who have been honored a combined 26 times.  

Dawn has been selected to the D Magazine list an impressive 14 consecutive times. With an impressive track record in state and federal courts, she is widely respected as one of Texas’ top commercial litigators. She has also been honored by D CEO, Lawdragon, and BTI. She was selected as the 2024 Arbitration Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers in America and has been recognized among the Top 50 Women Lawyers and Top 100 Lawyers in the state by Texas Super Lawyers. 

Countless single parents, CEOs and entrepreneurs would all agree that Abby is among the top Family Law attorneys currently practicing in Dallas. Her work in divorce, property division, child support, custody, pre- and post-marital agreements has helped propel her to four consecutive D Magazine selections. Carol’s commercial litigation work has led to an impressive string of professional honors. She is Best Lawyers in America’s 2024 Legal Malpractice Defense Lawyer of the Year and one of Texas Super Lawyers Top 50 Women Lawyers and Top 100 Lawyers. Her work has also been honored by Lawdragon. She is the first attorney her clients call when they are faced with potential litigation, but this is far from her first call from D Magazine – this is her eighth Best Lawyers in Dallas selection.
