It’s been quite a year — one many of us would rather forget or at least not repeat.

The bumps and hurdles encountered might even have left some seeing stars. But for our clients, the real stars have been the attorneys that helped navigate the obstacle course that was 2020. You don’t have to just take our word for it: Three of our best young attorneys have been selected to Texas Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars list based on their work over the past year.

Join us in congratulating firm partners Lindsay Daye Barbee and Terah Moxley and associate Stephanie Matherne for this impressive recognition. Adding a little extra special twinkle in our eyes is the news that both Lindsay and Terah were chosen among the Top 50 Up-and-Coming Women lawyers in the state. It was the second consecutive selection to this prestigious listing for Lindsay, who also was named to the Top 100 Up-and-Coming lawyers in Texas, regardless of practice focus.

Attorneys named to the Texas Rising Stars list are nominated by their peers and go through an extensive editorial review process. To be eligible, a lawyer must be 40 or younger or in practice for no more than 10 years.

With a practice devoted to helping families during challenging times in their lives, Lindsay provides a deep understanding of issues involved in complex divorce, property, child custody, adoption and visitation matters. That knowledge has earned her a place on the annual Rising Stars list of young Family Law attorneys in the state for the past six years.

Terah earned recognition among the top Labor & Employment attorneys for a fourth year. Board Certified in Labor & Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, she represents employers in claims of discrimination, harassment and other areas of employment law. She recently shared her insights into the evolving workplace with D Magazine. This is the second Texas Rising Stars recognition for Stephanie, who devotes her practice to assisting clients through divorce, child custody and support, property division and other complex Family Law matters. She also was recently recognized on the inaugural Best Lawyers in America®: Ones to Watch listing in Family Law.
