FIVE ESTES THORNE & CARR ATTORNEYS RECOGNIZED AMONG 2020 TEXAS RISING STARS

DALLAS – Estes Thorne & Carr is pleased to announce that five firm attorneys have been selected as Texas Rising Stars for 2020 by Super Lawyers, an honor received by only 2.5 percent of Texas attorneys each year.

“We love seeing these attorneys grow in their career by advancing the legal profession and demonstrating leadership both inside the courtroom and at the negotiation table,” said Jessica Thorne, managing partner at Estes Thorne & Carr. “Beyond their mastery of the law, each one understands the importance of collaboration and creating strong relationships with our clients.”

Katherine “Katie” Anand is recognized for her business litigation practice for the eighth year. As a firm partner, Katie focuses on commercial, construction and financial services litigation. She works to resolve disputes before they get to a courtroom, but when needed, she is equally tenacious in representing claims against contractors, architects and engineers at trial and on appeal.

Firm partner Lindsay Daye Barbee’s selection to the list for the fifth time is a result of her reputation among peers and her compassionate and pragmatic strategy in family law. In addition, she is named among the Rising Stars Top 50 women lawyers in Texas. Her practice is devoted to helping families navigate challenging times in their lives, relying on her deep understanding of matters related to complex divorce, property, child custody, adoption and visitation.

This marks the second selection for Lauren Leider to the Rising Stars list. As a firm associate who is a genuine problem solver, she has a diverse business litigation practice that spans class actions, contract disputes and arbitration negotiations on behalf of large companies in the social media, telecommunications and product manufacturing industries.

Associate Stephanie Matherne is named to the prestigious list for the first year. She is included based on of her wide range of experience in family law litigation. In her practice, she has skillfully handled complex property division, child custody cases, divorce, pre and postnuptial agreements and protective orders.

Firm partner Terah Moxley’s employment litigation practice is recognized for the third year. She is Board Certified in Labor & Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and clients rely on her insights and experience in representing employers in claims of discrimination, harassment and other areas of employment law.

Attorneys named to the Texas Rising Stars list are nominated by their peers and go through an extensive editorial review process. To be eligible, a lawyer must be 40 or younger or in practice for no more than 10 years. The full 2020 listing appears in Super Lawyers magazine and can be found at http://www.superlawyers.com.
