DALLAS – Estes Thorne & Carr PLLC partners Dawn Estes, Lori Carr and Carol Payne have been selected to the 2018 listing of the Best Lawyers in Dallas by D Magazine.

This is the eighth time Ms. Estes has earned honors from D Magazine for her work representing large and mid-sized corporate clients in commercial litigation. She handles disputes involving breach of contract, trade secrets, creditor’s rights, director and officer liability, technology-based disputes, and deceptive trade practices. A member of the American Arbitration Association’s National Panel of Commercial and Employment Arbitrators, Ms. Estes frequently serves as a court-appointed mediator.
Ms. Carr earned honors for her labor and employment practice. It is the fourth year she has been recognized by D Magazine. Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, she represents employers in litigation, mediation, arbitration and before government agencies. Ms. Carr also is highly sought after for her expertise in corporate internal investigations involving claims of sexual harassment, fraud, and ethics violations.
Ms. Payne is also making a repeat appearance on the list for her commercial litigation work. An accomplished trial lawyer on matters involving real estate, construction and other business disputes, she also advises clients on best practices designed to avoid the courtroom. She has significant experience representing lawyers and law firms in professional negligence and breach of fiduciary duty cases.
